We all have pieces of music that bring back special memories whenever we hear them. These memories might be happy or sad, but the music is the key that allows us to remeber them by. They might be people, places or events but they are all unique to the individual who holds them.

I will now share one of my memories with you. When it was first released, my future wife and I were very much taken by 'Ars Longa, Vite Brevis' by The Nice and in particulr by one certain track - 'The Karelia Suite'.

As time went by, we listened to it a great deal and when we were eventually planning our wedding and what music we wanted, we both agreed that one of the pieces we wished the organist to play was 'The Karelia Suite'. The wedding was a very joyous occasion on a lovely sunny day day and whenever we hear this piece of music all the memories come flooding back, not only of the day and the service itself, but also all the happiness and excitement we shared when planning and leading up to the wedding.
